Westside Spring Indoor Soccer League
During our spring season we offer indoor soccer in addition to our basketball league. Our indoor soccer league on the Westside serves hundreds of boys and girls ages 3 – 4 yrs and grades K – 5th living in the Beaverton, Portland, Tigard, Tualatin, Lake Oswego and Hillsboro school districts.

3 / 4 year-old Micro Soccer League
3 / 4 year olds play Micro Soccer: 3 v 3 without a goalie.
The 3 / 4 year old league is coed.
Teams are made up by school, age and combined by geographic locations. 
Saturdays, April 5th and 12th, teams will have one-hour practices. Location TBD. 
Once games start on April 19th, teams will play for one hour: combined practice / game.
No weekday commitments! 
All teams will play a total of 7 indoor games.
All games will be played in the Beaverton School District. TBD.
Teammate or coach requests accepted online only: but no guarantees!
The YMCA is not responsible for gym cancellations.
Score will not be kept.
Players will receive a YMCA team shirt.

K / 1st Grade Coed League
The K / 1st grade league is coed.
K / 1st graders play 5 v 5 (including a goalie).
No weekday commitments!
Teams are made up by school, grade and combined by geographic locations. 
Saturdays, April 5th and 12th, teams will have a one-hour practice. Location TBD.  
Once games start on April 19th, a 1-hour game will be played directly after a 1/2 hour practice.
All teams will play 7 games.
All games will be played in Beaverton Elementary Schools. TBD.
Teammate or coach requests accepted online only: but no guarantees!
The YMCA is not responsible for gym cancellations.
Score will not be kept.
Players will receive a YMCA team shirt.

2nd / 3rd, 4th / 5th Grade Coed Leagues
There will be separate 2nd / 3rd and 4th / 5th grade girl's and boy's teams.
2nd / 3rd, 4th / 5th grade teams play 6 v 6 (including a goalie).
Teams are made up by school, grade and combined by geographic locations.
There will be one practice per week in the evening. Practice times are determined by school availability and coach's schedule.
Practice begins the first week of April.
All teams will play a total of 7 games on Saturdays.
All games will be played in Beaverton Elementary Schools. Locations TBD. 
The YMCA is not responsible for gym cancellations.
Score will not be kept.
All players will receive a team shirt. 
Referees will officiate each game.  

Coaching Information
Volunteer Coaches are Always Needed. Training is provided.
Mandatory Meeting: All coaches must attend the mandatory coaches meeting on Monday, March 10 at 6:00 p.m.: Beaverton Family YMCA. 4925 SW Griffith Drive. Beaverton, Oregon 97005. Packets and rule books will be handed out. All coaches will receive a thorough, mulit-state background check. Following the meeting there will be an optional coaching session with tips and practice ideas.

How to Register: Coach Registration is now open. 

Requesting Players: Coaches may request players to be on their team. If the coach only has requested 1 or 5 players, for example, the YMCA will fill the team with other players from the same grade, school, or geographic location.

All teams will have at least 10 players; most teams will have 11 players.

Fees
Early Bird on-line registration: $88.00.
Early Bird paper registration: $93.00.
All fees are $98.00 after 3/14/08.

There are three ways to register your child/ren: 
1. Online registration
2. Paper registration: Send your registration form to the Westside Family YMCA c/o Scott Pierce. 4925 SW Griffith Drive. Beaverton, Oregon. 97005. Payment must be included to be registered.
3. Fax your registration form with credit card information to the Westside Family YMCA c/o Scott Pierce: 503.644.8895.

Refund Policy

3/14/08  Early Bird Registration ends

3/15/08-4/4/08 Waiting list. Your child will be placed onto a waiting list. We will call you by 4/4/08 with information. We try our hardest to place every child.

3/19/08 Rosters done - Coaches will begin contacting players with practice schedule.

4/1/08 Practices begin for 2nd / 3rd and 4th / 5th grade teams. All teams will have 1 one-hour practice per week. Practice times are determined by school availability and coach's schedule.

4/5/08 &  4/12/08 Practices will be one hour for 3 / 4 year olds and K-1st grade teams.

4/11/08 Coaches will pick-up team shirts and game schedules in exchange for turning in required paperwork.

4/19/08 First game for all teams.

5/24/08 No games. Happy Memorial Day.

6/7/08 Last game of the season -– each team will play 7 games.
