YMCA Spring Basketball League on the Westside serves more than 800 boys and girls ages 5 – 6 yrs and grades 1st – 5th living in the Beaverton, Portland, Tigard, Tualatin, Lake Oswego and Hillsboro school districts.

Registration Information

There are three ways to register your child(ren): 
1. Online Registration
2. Download and send your Registration Form to Westside Youth Sports. 9685 SW Harvest Ct. Beaverton, Oregon. 97005, Attn: Aaron Bronikowski. Payment must be included to be registered. Fliers will be distributed to all Beaverton, Portland and Tigard Elementary Schools the second week of February.
3. Fax your Registration Form with credit card information to Westside Youth Sports c/o Aaron Bronikowski: 503.644.0936.

Fees
Early Bird Online Registration: $88.00.
Early Bird Paper Registration: $93.00.
After 3/10/10, all fees will be $98.00.
All fees apply equally to students from any school district. Financial Assistance is available to those in need. For more information, please visit our Financial Assistance page. To guarantee F.A. processing, all required paperwork must be turned in to Westside Youth Sports by March 5th, 2010.

Coaching Information 
Volunteer coaches are always needed, training is provided.

Mandatory Meeting: Required for all coaches who did not coach during Winter League. Meeting on Monday, March 15th at The Beaverton Hoop YMCA: 9685 SW Harvest Ct. Beaverton, OR 97005, at 6:30 p.m. Packets and rule books will be handed out. All coaches will receive a thorough, multi-state background check.

How to Register: Coaches must register online via Online Registration. Assistant Coaches do not need to register online.

Requesting Players: Using on-line registration coaches may request up to 11 players to be on their team. If the coach only has requested 1 or 5 players, for example, the YMCA will fill the team with other players from the same grade, school, or geographic location.

Team Rosters: Coaches will receive their team rosters and practice schedules on March 26th, 2010.

Calendar
2/8/10: Spring Basketball Registration opens

3/10/10: Early Bird Registration closes

3/15/10: Mandatory Coaches Meeting at The Beaverton Hoop YMCA located at 9685 SW Harvest Ct. in Beaverton. The meeting will start promptly at 6:30 p.m.

3/19/10: Coach paperwork due

3/21/10: Registration closes

After 3/21/10: Your child will be placed onto a waiting list. We will only call you if your child is placed on a team. If you do not hear from us it means we were unable to place your child. Please include payment information on your paper registration form or we will be unable to process & register your child.
3/26/10: Rosters and practice schedules completed. Coaches will begin contacting players with practice schedules and additional information about the league.
4/3/10 & 4/10/10: Weekend practices will be 1 hour for 5 – 6 yr-olds, 1.5 hours for 1st and 2nd grade teams. Practices will be at the same time and location on each Saturday.
4/6/10: Weekday practices begin for 3rd, 4th + 5th grade teams. All teams will have 1 one-hour practice per week. Practice times are determined by school & coach availability.
4/8/10: Game shirts will be available to be picked up at the Beaverton Hoop YMCA. Game schedules will be posted online by 6:00 p.m.
4/17/10: First game for all teams in all divisions.
5/29/10: No games - have a happy & safe Memorial Day.
6/5/10: Last game of the season
6/13/10: Make-Up dates, only used if there are cancellations during the season.

Waiting List
Waiting list dates: 3/21/10 – 4/9/10. After registration closes at midnight on 3/21/10, you will need to place your child on the waiting list; mail or fax the registration form with payment to Westside Youth Sports. Waiting list applicants are placed in the order in which the registrations were received. We will call you directly if we are able to place your child, if you do not hear from us, we were unable to place your child.

Refund Policy
All refund requests (less a processing fee of $20) must be made in writing prior to the first game on 4/17/10. After this date there will be no refunds given.
